Stop The Strip

not buying it

We've had a number of supporters contact us, who are challenging licensing renewals for their local strip joints (whoops, sorry 'Gentlemen's Clubs').

If you know a strip club/lap dancing club whose license is coming up for renewal, check out the info on our website HERE

You don't have to live or work near a strip joint to place an objection.

No More Strip Joints

You can even call on your council to adopt a 'Nil Policy' towards lap dancing clubs, ie NO MORE STRIP JOINTS.

There is a strong case for this because of The Gender Equality Duty. This means that all Councils are legally requried to promote equality between women and men in their licensing decisions.

How can licensing a strip club possibly be compatible with that?

Leeds: Silk's

Join Jon and others in challenging the licensing renewal of Silk's "Gentlemen's" Lounge in none other than Leeds Cultural Centre.

Tell Leeds City Council NOT to renew its licence and ask them to adopt a 'Nil' policy for strip joints as the only way for the Council to fulfil its legally required Gender Equality Duties.

Even if you are not based in Leeds you have a right to input.
