June 19th is the licensing hearing for Sheffield's Spearmint Rhino strip club
The Council conceded it was in breach of equality law because of the way it granted the club's license last year. Will things be any different this year?
If you submitted a response to the licensing consultation you should have been sent an invite to attend the licensing hearing to which you need to RSVP. If you haven't, please contact email@example.com
If you did make a submission to the council and are happy for us to have a copy (your name can be redacted) please send it to us here: firstname.lastname@example.org. That way we can make sure the Council don’t miss out swathes of testimony.
We will be there in force with some of the 145 others who objected to the licensing of this notorious strip chain in the cultural heart of the city, next door to student accommodation, complete with private booths and 'student night specials'.
We are incredibly lucky to have a barrister from Matrix Chambers no less volunteering their expert services for those who object. Matrix, You Rock!
