It’s finally here .. It’s this Thursday .. It’s at Leeds High Court!
Sheffield’s ‘no limit’ policy on Strip Clubs will be put to the Equality test in a Court of Law.

In the meantime, there’s news of yet another well established strip chain – LA Confidential, Ealing – facing closure due to breach of licensing terms unearthed by undercover officers (sexual contact.. prostitution .. driven in part by the massive, undocumented fines imposed by the club on performers).
This club has private areas, just like Sheffield’s Spearmint Rhino, where lap dancing yet again means naked young women literally in men’s laps. This club had been allowed to continue operating despite its bouncer already having been charged with GBH. It even had the audacity to cry ‘age discrimination’ because the council only allowed punters and performers over 21!
And yes, we’ve written to the Council asking them not to relicense the club and to introduce a zero policy on strip clubs.

And that’s not all. Just through press searches, we have found a dozen clubs shut in the last few years because of sexual contact, full out assaults, drugs, prostitution and links to trafficking. And this, no doubt, barely represents the tip of the iceberg because this is the strip industry.
